History
In the year 100 BC, Rome is governed by Emperor Trajan who wishes to wage war against the Dacians but this project does not meet with the support of his subjects. Another problem arises when Rufus, a gladiator, refuses to put his opponent to death in the circus. With the help of his friend Cassius, Rufus escapes and leads a rebellion, embracing a new religion that is now emerging -- that of Christianity.
